IoT
Projekt IoT stanowi moją kolejną próbę zmierzenia się z tym fascynującym pojęciem, które to na własne potrzeby upraszczam i wyobrażam sobie jako chmurę ekranów – komputerów, telefonów, tabletów czy telewizorów smart – funkcjonujących w gęstej sieci samodzielnie komunikujących się ze sobą urządzeń.
Na zdjęciach prezentowanych wiosną 2017 r. w Galerii Pauza w Krakowie ich obecność jest umowna i ograniczona do standardowego wymiaru tabletu. Widzimy jedynie geometryczną chmurę matryc cyfrowych wyświetlaczy zawieszoną w anonimowych przestrzeniach. Przewrotnie, mimo iż refleksja ta dotyczy doświadczenia człowieka w kontakcie z technologią, to one – nieodłączne ekrany, stanowią jego jedyne widmo.
Chmurę obrazów tworzyłem w programie graficznym, edytując w nim zdjęcie przestrzeni poprzez dodawanie na kolejnych warstwach poszczególnych, prostokątnych elementów. Na ich podstawie tworzyłem matryce – maski, w których widoczne są fragmenty oryginalnego zdjęcia poddane transformacji i edycji tonalnej, symulujące załamanie światła w szkle lub odbicie w lustrze.
The IoT project is my another attempt to address this fascinating concept. For my own needs I simplify it and imagine it as a cloud of screens – computers, mobile phones, tablets or smart TVs – operating in a dense network of devices which communicate with each other independently.
In the pictures exhibited in the Spring of 2017 in Pauza Gallery in Kraków their presence is conventional and limited to regular size of a tablet. We remark only a geometrical cloud of digital matrices hanging in anonymous spaces. Although this reflection concerns human nature in contact with technology, it is them –inherent screens – which are the man's only spectrum.
I created the cloud of images in a graphic program, where I had edited the photo of space by adding on successive layers of the individual, rectangular elements. Based on this, I made the matrixes – masks, in which noticeable fragments of the original photograph undergo the transformation and tonal edition, simulating a light's refraction in the glass or an reflection in the mirror.
